23 Alphabetical Attributes of Salvation: Part Three

3. Coming to Christ (the right way)

I have a whole lot to present in Scripture about this particular attribute. First, coming to Christ is BELIEVING the Gospel in 1 Corinthians chapter 15 verses 1 to 4 (see link on right sidebar), which is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. There is NO OTHER WAY.

Second, all ways that are not in Scripture are accursed (Galatians 1:8, 9, see below), therefore they lead souls to eternal Hell fire.

There are so many false plans of salvation it makes my head spin. You have Lordship Salvation, Calvinism, Roman Catholicism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormonism, and a host of other falsehoods that have false teachers who deceive and are deceived. None of these cults and religions lead a soul to Heaven by any means. They all share one thing in common: works salvation, which is NOT the Biblical way. Therefore, God rejects every one, and will have no part with their prayers, vain repetitions and idolatries. 

Galatians 1:8, 9 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. 

The reason for this is simple. Human nature is flawed. We always assume that we have to do something in our own power to merit Heaven. We say, "Surely there must be more to it than just believing!" Well, my friend, God says there IS no way BUT believing, and you would be wise to obey God and not man.

I might also mention the false Alexandrian "bibles" that fill so-called "Christian" bookstores, websites, etc. The NIV (New International Version) is especially notorious, because it was the first corrupt bible ever published. The NIV has also been edited and modified into copyrighted spiritual mutants like the NIV 1984 and the NIV 2011. There are also those filthy corruptions like the NLT, NASB and ESV, and a host of over 1,000 other "PERversions" that omit vital Scriptures and add men's sinful reasoning (Proverbs 30:5 and 6, Revelation 22:18). This is exactly why they are to be avoided. If you have ANY "bible" that is NOT the King James Bible, I strongly suggest you trash it and get a King James Bible!

Now back to the meat of the matter. When we are saved, we spiritually "change garments." We put off the old man (our sinful nature) and we put on the new man (God's righteousness in Jesus Christ). 

Ephesians 4:21-24 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

We can never attain salvation in our own power, because we are sinners, flawed and powerless without Christ. Jesus Christ does all the saving--- ALL of it!

Romans 10:1 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

In conclusion, I will say it again. The way to be born again (saved) is through faith in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and no other. Religions, bibles and idols will never do the job. Jesus Christ is the ONLY Way to Heaven!
