23 Alphabetical Attributes of Salvation: Part Eight

 

8. Holy Holy Holy

This is a hard post for me to write, because I know in myself that I deserve Hell. But when I think of how holy God is, in that He cannot look upon sin and is higher than all creation, I marvel at how merciful He is and wants none to perish, and how frail and worthless I am. There is none like God, nor will there ever be.

Deuteronomy 4:35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.

Deuteronomy 33:26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.

1 Samuel 2:2 There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Satan is the great deceiver. He wants to be like God. He does not want to take God's rightful place on God's throne, he wants to reign like Him and is jealous of all God's attributes. The children of the Devil are also as such, jealous of Christians and the joy, peace and power they possess through Jesus Christ. That is why they imitate and copy the things Christians did in Bible times, such as drinking poison in the charismatic church. They know nothing of the Bible, and that's ironic because Satan knows everything about it but refuses to let his billions of followers know it. If they did, they all would get saved, and he would have no one left to deceive.

God's holiness should compel us to live a holy life. We still carry around this unredeemed carcass of a body, but if we have the Holy Spirit in us, we ought to strive to live pleasing to God. That means we should deny our flesh, and live according to the Spirit. Sadly, not many professed Christians do this anymore. They feed their flesh and quench the Spirit. They may be saved, but they will be shamefully empty-handed when they stand before the Judge after the Rapture takes place.

Those in Heaven proclaim the Highest in glory:

Isaiah 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Revelation 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

God is the Thrice Holy, meaning all of His being are three in one. That is why these heavenly creatures say it three times: God Who WAS, Who IS, and Who IS TO COME. God is Three in One: Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and we are made in His image: body, soul and spirit. God the Father is the Soul, God the Son is the Body, and God the Holy Ghost is the Spirit. How I love these truths from the Word of God!

It disturbs me greatly when people carelessly say, "Holy ____" or anything like that. They care nothing about the holiness of God because of their wayward speech and sinful lifestyle. These same people exclaim, "Oh my ___" when they are surprised or shocked. Well, the God they sinfully desecrate in that despicable saying is not glorified, but angry at those who treat His Name so shamefully. I've seen the vile "O-M-G" on the internet, even as "O M F G," making even more of a mockery of and trampling upon the holy, precious name of the Lord. Don't you worry, God WILL hold you accountable for every idle word and ugly speech that you spew from your filthy mouth. As sure as I am writing this, you can depend on that.

While I am at it, may I say that those spiritual frauds of the contemporary (un)christian music (CCM) industry ought to be utterly ashamed of themselves. They sing "holy holy holy" a hundred times in their vile songs much like a repeated chant, in vain repetitions that the Lord Jesus Christ commanded us NOT to do. God hates that kind of lukewarm sycophantic pseudo-worship. CCM is not Christian by any means. It is evil, deceptive, worldly and shameful. Those so-called "artists" may get away with it now since God is using them to judge this wicked world, but their end is in the lake of fire if they don't repent. I'll stop there because this CCM garbage is a hobby horse of mine.

This Thrice Holy God demands a sacrifice to take away all sins. The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth as a man, shedding His blood and dying on the cross so we could be redeemed (bought back) and reconciled to God. You can be forgiven today, friend. God desires no one to perish in eternal Hell fire. You don't have to go to Hell! Simply believe that Jesus Christ died, was buried and rose again for YOU. He took all your sins and put them under His blood, and God was appeased with His supreme sacrifice. Please get saved today. Time is running out!
